And not just a Catholic school, but one staffed with Irish Christian Brothers. We get St. Patrick's Day off every year as our school marching band and student council marches in the NYC St. Pat's parade. This year our principal decided to declare Friday the 18th a "Principal's Holiday", essentially freeing the faculty to fully enjoy St. Pat's in whatever way they choose.

Obviously the student doesn't know that I have two cats, though neither one of them is named Muffins. Though I think I might need to change the name of this journal to "Evil Linux Penguins of Doom".

(Oh, and I was the head soccer coach this past year, so I suppose that accounts for the soccer association. Also "Comrade Rosas" is one of the English teachers here.)
