From this week's USA Today High School Football section:
Oddly enough, they didn't mention the 160+ yards he racked up scoring those three TD's in the final ten minutes. Michael was in my Geometry class two years ago. Great guy. Apparently a great running back too.
Player of the week: RB Michael Allen of Cardinal Hayes (Bronx, N.Y.) rushed for a New York Catholic Football League single-game record 389 yards on 27 carries in a 42-21 victory over St. John the Baptist (West Islip). Allen scored all six of Hayes' TDs, including three in the final 10 minutes of the fourth quarter. In seven games, he has rushed for 1,301 yards, with 21 TDs.
